Ottoman's Life Hotel Deluxe is a 5-star hotel in Fatih, Istanbul, designed around a halal concept from the ground up. For us this is not a service added later — it is the founding principle of the hotel, and it shapes everything from the kitchen to the spa layout, from room service to our event spaces.
Our alcohol-free policy
No alcohol is served anywhere on the property. This covers the lobby café, the restaurants, room service, the pool area, and every wedding, henna night, engagement ceremony and corporate event we host. Guests may not bring alcohol onto the premises either. There are no exceptions to this policy, including for private events.
A halal-certified kitchen
All meat and meat products used in our kitchen are halal certified. We follow the certification chain through our suppliers and use separate equipment during preparation and cooking. Our open buffet breakfast is served daily from 07:00 to 10:30 (until 11:00 at weekends). If you have specific dietary requirements — vegetarian, gluten-free, or an allergy — let us know when you book and our kitchen will accommodate them.
Ladies-only health club and pool
The most tangible expression of a halal concept is privacy. Within our 3,000 m² Ottoman's Life Health Club & Spa we operate a ladies-only section: women guests can use the pool, the Turkish hammam and the fitness area entirely separately from men, and the section is staffed exclusively by women.
This is uncommon among Istanbul hotels and is one of the main reasons families and guests travelling from the Gulf region choose us. Reception can advise on current ladies-only hours and arrangements.
Prayer facilities
The qibla direction is marked in every room and prayer mats are available on request. As we are located on the Historic Peninsula, there are many historic mosques nearby; the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia are approximately 4 km away.
Family-friendly by design
Our 192 rooms come in 11 types, many of them designed with families in mind. The 110 m² Family Royal Suite accommodates up to 7 adults across two bedrooms with a separate living area. Cots are provided free of charge; please contact our reservations team about child discount terms.
